The West Coast Offense was developed and mastered by former 49er coach, Bill Walsh. He tutored many of today’s great coaches and players. Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jerry Rice were all a products of the West Coast System. Favre, Elway, and McNabb have all benefited from the scheme behind what is called the “West Coast” offense. Over half the teams in the NFL are running a version of the west coast offense. It is definitely a winning system.
